Educational Resources

Part of ICC’s mission is to provide “anti-bias, culturally relevant curriculum”. While much of that work takes place within the classroom, the resources below are to support parent education and kid exploration of important concepts outside of the classroom.

Favorite Classroom Books

These favorite reads have been selected by teachers and approved by kids! Some celebrate different cultures or feature representation across the many human dimensions (race, gender, identity) and others demonstrate what we do with our biggest feelings, strangest life events, and most difficult emotions. For more reading lists curated by diversity-minded groups outside of ICC, see the next section as well.
